About the Project

Hero Sketch is a concept app designed to teach users how to draw their favorite comic book heroes. The goal of this project was to design a mobile experience that makes learning to draw accessible, engaging, and fun — targeting comic fans of all skill levels who want to develop their illustration abilities.

The design centers around a step-by-step lesson format, breaking down complex character poses and anatomy into manageable stages that build on each other. The UI draws inspiration from the visual language of comic books themselves — bold outlines, high contrast, and dynamic composition — making the app feel native to the world it teaches.

The project included designing the full app interface across multiple screens, covering onboarding, lesson selection, the drawing tutorial experience, and progress tracking — creating a cohesive end-to-end user experience.
